Producing a VR event | WaveXR.com

Throwing a virtual reality event has been a goal of mine for a while. Last night my wife (DJ841.com) and I ran a technical rehearsal using the platform WaveXR.com (formerly TheWaveVR.)

Not only can you run your own events in virtual venues, but you can DJ using their in house Virtual DJ tools or stream from your local computer.

This “Wave Builder” is pretty intuitive and come a long way in the short time I’ve been peeking in. I can’t wait to see where it goes.

Some shots from our technical rehearsal:

We made a flier, and a venue for my wife’s DJing (she digs unicorns) and were able to invite people who didn’t have VR headsets to come visit too!

Besides making it easy to throw your own concerts, WaveXR.com also invites world famous musicians to perform in their own advanced virtual venues, or “Waves.” Here’s an incredible video about the Imogen Heap concert.

Other artists such as the Kill the Noise, Glitch Mob, and TOKiMONSTA’s “The Lune Rouge Experience” are straight otherworldly. WaveXR even built a a venue inspired by the club in Ready Player One, “The Distracted Globe.”

You can videos and previews for all of these events on the WaveXR website at: wavexr.com/waves

I’m really excited I could do this in such a short amount of time after obtaining a VR headset and can’t wait to do more!
